Alternative Fuel from Saltwater

Thursday, January 31, 2008

John Kanzius, the broadcast executive from Erie, Pennsylvania who found a way to kill cancer cells using radio waves, may now have found a way to use salt water as an alternative fuel source.

Using the same apparatus as he did in his cancer research and salt water directly from the causeway behind his Florida home, Kanzius was able to make salt water burst into flames, which reaches 3,000 degrees Farenheit, after bombarding it with radio waves. It is suggested that the large amount of heat created from his machine is able to break the bond between the oxygen and hydrogen and ignite the hydrogen. Kanzius has also proven that a simple motor can, in fact, be powered by the energy emitted from the burning salt water.

Although this development is a long way from solving our energy crisis it is a reminder that anyone, regardless of background and training, is capable of coming up with a significant idea or innovation.
